FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR THE ROBERT LOUIS STEVENSON SCHOOL

The Robert Louis Stevenson School is an independent non-profit college-preparatory school dedicated to teaching troubled adolescents with average to superior intelligence who have had serious difficulty in school and are seeking a new start. Accredited by the New York State Board of Regents, The Robert Louis Stevenson School receives no federal or state support other than certain reimbursements based upon the Carter and Conners Acts.

Tuition and fees paid tp benefit students at the Robert Louis Stevenson School cover basic educational needs, including fundamental supplies. However, any excess needs or enhancements to the educational program are met in one of the following three ways:

   • by gifts and pledges from alumni and their families, current student families, and friends
   • by gifts from corporations and foundations
   • by income from Reserve Funds made up of earlier gifts and bequests from those who have supported the school's mission and shared its purpose.
