Awarding-Winning Playwright David Auburn Visits Stevenson

On Tuesday March 7th, Stevenson hosted a special reading and talk-back with awarding winning playwright David Auburn. Auburn is best known for his play Proof, which won the Tony Award for “Best Play” in 2001, as well as a Pulitzer Prize for Drama. He also wrote the screenplay for the 2006 film The Lake House.

Stevenson teachers rehearsed and performed two excerpts from Proof and then Auburn led an engaging discussion with the students. The event was organized by English teacher Fran Barken and is part of the month-long celebration of Art Manifest at Stevenson.
